Hana Černá Silovská, Josef Klement and Šárka Tomanová have submitted two new projects focused on regional development and on the competitiveness and resilience of the automotive industry in the V4 countries, funded by the Visegrad Fund.

Members of the Center for Economics, Energy and Public Policy, Hana Černá Silovská, Josef Klement and Šárka Tomanová, are participating in two newly submitted international projects funded by the Visegrad Fund. Both initiatives address current economic and institutional challenges in Central Europe and bring together researchers and experts from all V4 countries.

  1. Competitiveness and Resilience of Automotive-Related Regions in the Visegrad Countries – Innovations, Institutions and Investments

This project focuses on comparing investment incentives, institutional environments, and the challenges tied to the transformation of the automotive sector, particularly the transition to electromobility.
The project is coordinated by Hana Černá Silovská and Šárka Tomanová.

  1. Local Government Engagement in Fiscal and Regional Policy: A Pilot Study in the Visegrad Countries

This project explores the role of local governments in shaping fiscal policy and regional development. As part of this pilot study, a tool will be developed to collect data on the perspectives and needs of local stakeholders.
The main coordinator is the Cracow University of Economics, with the University of Economics in Prague (VŠE) participating through Hana Černá Silovská and Josef Klement.
