Monika Junicke

Her work combines quantitative economic methods with the analysis of structural challenges facing the Czech and European economies, with a strong emphasis on data-driven conclusions relevant to both expert and public policy debates.
She obtained her Ph.D. in Economics from City University London, where her doctoral research focused on the theoretical and empirical aspects of monetary policy. She has gained professional experience in both the financial sector and public institutions. She served as Deputy Director of the Analytical Department at the Office of the National Budget Council, and between 2023 and 2025 she worked as an advisor to a Deputy Minister of Finance.
