Lucia Bartůsková, in collaboration with an international team of experts, has been awarded a project funded by the Visegrad Fund.
Lucia Bartůsková, together with an international team of experts, has successfully secured support from the Visegrad Fund for the implementation of the research project “Housing Market & Sustainability Issues Linked to Dominance of Housing Asset in Retirement Portfolios”, which will run from 20 January 2025 to 19 July 2026.
The aim of the project is to analyse the economic and social impacts of the concentration of senior citizens’ assets in real estate across the Visegrad Group countries. The project places particular emphasis on issues of liquidity, housing affordability, and the sustainability of the housing stock. Its outcomes will provide empirically grounded proposals for improving financial planning in old age, developing innovative financial instruments such as reverse mortgages, and introducing measures to mitigate housing market inequalities.
All outputs and research results will be published on an ongoing basis on the CEEC-HF website. The project will also include two professional workshops. The first, “1st International V4 Housing Market Workshop”, will take place on 14–15 April 2025 at Corvinus University of Budapest. This workshop will serve as a platform for academic discussion and the exchange of insights among experts in housing policy and sustainable development.
