In addition to his academic work, he has gained extensive practical experience. Since 2000, he has been an entrepreneur in the publishing sector, and in 2013 he founded Rotschedl Business Market, s.r.o., a company focused on finance, accounting, taxation, and other consulting services. Starting in 2006, he held managerial positions primarily in marketing, sales, and human resources. He spent over a decade in companies engaged in healthcare, biotechnology, and genetic research, in which he was actively involved. He has developed three prototypes of IVD kits for next-generation sequencing diagnostics. For nearly three years, he also served in the management of Česká pošta, s.p., as Director of the Southern Moravia Branch Network. His practical experience includes project management and the coordination of complex projects. In addition to his academic activities, he regularly publishes in economic weeklies and monthlies and has participated in economic discussions on Czech Television.
His current research focuses on the impact of circadian rhythms on worker performance. He explores the practical application of neuroeconomic topics, integrating economics with neuroscience, biology, and genetics.
As a personal interest, he has authored a number of books in the fields of history, economics, finance, and law. In 2001, he published a textbook for secondary schools titled Building Law and Economics (Not Only) for Construction Schools. In 2003, he released Public Finance Reform, offering an opposition perspective on the then-government’s reforms in pension, social, tax, and healthcare policy. In 2014, he collaborated with the Faculty of Law at Masaryk University on a book dealing with the recodification of the Civil Code, specifically contributing to sections on association law, taxation, and accounting. In 2023, he was awarded second place in the Rector’s “Teacher of the Year” competition.
