Lucia Bartůsková

is an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Economics, Prague University of Economics and Business. In her academic and research activities, she focuses on labour market economics and economic policy. Her specialization lies in the areas of social and family policy, where she analyses the impact of economic decisions and government measures on individuals and families in various life situations. Her work includes research on employment, poverty, inequality, and work-life balance, with a strong emphasis on practical issues in order to connect theoretical knowledge with real-world economic and societal challenges.

Her additional professional interests include gender inequality in the labour market, the economic impacts of demographic change, and opportunities to improve quality of life through targeted public policies. She has completed study and research stays at prestigious institutions such as the University of Glasgow, the Karolinska Institute in Stockholm, and the Joint Vienna Institute.

In addition to her academic activities, she has collaborated with non-profit organizations such as Gender Studies, o.p.s., and worked as an analyst at the Czech Chamber of Commerce. Since 2022, she has been working at the Czech National Bank as an assistant to a member of the Bank Board.
