Ing. Adéla Zubíková, Ph.D.
Brief Introduction
holds the position of Dean at the Faculty of Economics, Prague University of Economics and Business. Her areas of specialization include commodity markets, natural resource-exporting countries, migration policy, fiscal policy, and the analysis of external shock impacts on the Czech economy. As part of her academic and research activities, she completed a study and research stay at the Schulich School of Business in Toronto, Canada.
Adéla Zubíková
She has been engaged in academic and professional activities at the Faculty of Economics of the Prague University of Economics and Business for over ten years. In 2017, she initiated the establishment of the NF VŠE Alumni Club and became its chairwoman. Between 2018 and 2019, she held the position of International Cooperation Coordinator with foreign universities. Since 2018, she has been involved in managing the faculty’s accreditation processes. From 2022 to 2024, she served as Vice-Dean for Study Affairs. In December 2023, she was appointed Acting Dean, and in 2024, she was officially appointed Dean of the Faculty.
Outside the academic sphere, she gained professional experience in public administration. From 2014 to 2017, she interned at the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of the Czech Republic, and between 2021 and 2022, she worked as an analyst at the National Budget Council.
Even during her studies, she received several major awards. In 2017, she was awarded the Rector’s Prize of the Prague University of Economics and Business for an outstanding master’s thesis, and in 2020 she ranked among the top three doctoral students at the Faculty of Economics. In 2021, she received the prestigious Josef Hlávka Award. In 2023, she placed second in the Faculty of Economics’ “Teacher of the Year” competition.
