works as an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Economics, Prague University of Economics and Business. His work primarily focuses on the issues of government intervention, the economic theory of bureaucracy, real estate market regulation, and economic policy grounded in free market competition. In relation to contemporary economic policy, he is particularly interested in the economic theories of F.A. Hayek and the foundational principles of Western society that once drove economic growth but are now significantly eroding.

Brief Introduction

Jan Kozák
In 2024, he co-authored an article with Dr. Klement titled Flashbacks of the Bad Old Days? The Bureaucratization of Czech Universities in the Post-Communist Era, focusing on the phenomenon of bureaucratization in Czech higher education. The research was partly inspired by the authors’ own experience while working on a development project. The study reveals that due to the heavy administrative burden, academics have increasingly less time for the two core university activities: teaching students and conducting research. Following the publication of their findings, the authors were invited to present their conclusions to, among others, German academics in Essen.
